RUN Nevada Race Series 2024
Be part of the 5th Annual RUN Nevada Race Series, presented by Burke Corporation! The three race series includes:
- 3rd annual Pizza Pie Looza 5k on Saturday, May 11
- 11th annual Freedom Run 5k/10k on Saturday, June 22
- 12th annual Lincoln Highway Dash 5k on Saturday, August 24
For the $90 registration fee, series participants receive…
- NEW-leaderboard tracking performances with end-of-season awards
- $5 discount per race
- Limited edition RUN Series quarter-zip
- Chip-timing
- T-shirt for each race
- Finisher medal courtesy of ALMACO
- Awards for the top finishers of each race
All series registrations MUST be received by April 15 at 5pm.
Pizza Pie Looza 5k
Saturday, May 11:
The third running of the Pizza Pie Looza 5k is the official kick-off to Pizza Pie Looza festivities.This 5k is the first of three races in the RUN Nevada Race Series 2024 presented by Burke Corporation.
Earlybird registration costs $35 through April 26, then will increase to $40. All participants must register by May 10 at 5pm. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. All proceeds benefit the Nevada Foundation.
Earlybird registrants receive a race t-shirt. All participants receive a finisher medal courtesy of ALMACO.
Saturday, June 8th:
Donut Dash
Join Bricktown Bakery for the 4th annual Donut Dash! The one-mile, untimed fun run will begin and end in front of Bricktown Bakery in downtown Nevada. This year’s run is Hawaiian themed, so dress in your best beach-wear to win free donuts for a year!
Registration costs $35 through May 10, and will increase to $40 on May 11. Online registration will close at 5pm on June 7. All proceeds benefit Wings of Refuge.
Participants receive a race t-shirt, swag bag, and a donut from Bricktown Bakery.
Freedom Run 5k & 10k
Saturday, June 22:
The 11th Annual Story County Freedom Run is the second official event of the RUN Nevada Race Series 2024. This year’s run includes a 5k and 10k option, and will start and finish at the east end of SCORE Park in Nevada, near the swimming pool and high school baseball field.
Earlybird 5k registration costs $35 and 10k is $45 through June 7, then will increase to $40 and $45. All participants must register by June 21 at 5pm. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. Over the last decade, the Freedom Run has raised over $30,000 for local veterans.
Earlybird registrants receive a race t-shirt. All participants receive a finisher medal courtesy of ALMACO and pancake breakfast.
Nevada XC Alumni Run
Saturday, August 10:
The Nevada XC Alumni Run honors and connects generations of Nevada cross country alumni, family, and fans. Although “Once a Cub, always a Cub”, this event is open to all. You’re invited to race, run, jog, or walk the 3-mile path around Hickory Grove Lake. Swap stories and memories as you reunite with members of this community. Proceeds benefit the Nevada High School Cross Country program.
$35 entry fee includes a t-shirt (if registered by August 3rd) and chip-timing. $25 entry fee includes chip-timing but no t-shirt.
Lincoln Highway Dash 5k
Saturday, August 24:
Nevada’s oldest 5k race returns for its 12th year! The event is part of Nevada’s annual Lincoln Highway Days celebration, and is the final event of the RUN Nevada Race Series 2024. The race will begin at SCORE Park, ending on the parade route in downtown Nevada. NEW this year will be a shuttle service back to the starting line to retrieve your vehicle!
Earlybird registration costs $35 through August 9, then will increase to $40. All participants must register by August 23 at 5pm. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. All proceeds benefit Main Street Nevada.

Fieldhouse Fun Run
Saturday, September 28:
NEW FOR 2024! This fun run at SCORE Park will be the culminating event for the Race Series and include awards for the
series-long leaderboard winners. Details to be announced at a later date.
Ugly Christmas Sweater Fun Run
Saturday, December 14:
For the fourth year, RUN will host the Ugly Christmas Sweater Run/Walk as part of Nevada’s Christmas on Main celebration. This one-mile, un-timed run is for all skill levels – runners and walkers alike!
The cost is just $10, making it affordable for the whole family to participate. All proceeds benefit Food at First in Nevada.
Participants are encouraged to dress in the most ridiculous, outlandish ugly sweater attire and costumes they can assemble. Prizes awarded for the top two individuals and group costumes.
